The Danish drinks company posted sales equivalent to 19.69 billion euros, below analysts’ expectations. Even so, it raised its full-year organic operating profit forecast for 2024.

Carlsberg reported second-quarter results on Tuesday, with sales falling short of expectations, but it nonetheless raised its forecast for total sales this year.

The Danish beverage company posted second-quarter sales of about 21.64 billion Danish kroner, up from 21.38 billion Danish kroner in the same period last year. Analysts consulted by the company expected sales of about 22.1 billion dollars in the period.

Despite the decline, Carlsberg is targeting total organic operating profit of between 4% and 6% in 2024, contradicting previous forecasts that set 1% and 5% as the minimum and maximum limits, respectively.
