Earthquake felt on three Caribbean islands

oneThe Seismological Research Centre (SRC) at the St. Augustine campus of the University of the West Indies in Trinidad announced that a 4.2 magnitude earthquake struck several countries in the Caribbean on Tuesday.

According to reports, the earthquake occurred at 1:55 a.m. local time, with a focal depth of 125 kilometers. It was felt 68 kilometers northeast of Kingstown, the capital of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, 85 kilometers southeast of Castries, St. Lucia, and 117 kilometers northwest of Bridgetown, the capital of Barbados.

The SRC said there were no reports of damage or injuries on any of the islands.

The earthquake occurred two days ago, when a magnitude 3.5 earthquake struck the Dominican Islands, St. Lucia and the French island of Martinique.

The earthquake had a focal depth of 19 kilometers.
