A 37-year-old woman nicknamed “Bonu” was arrested in a joint operation between the two interior ministries in Istanbul.

“Citizens affected by this individual’s actions are urged to contact the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul or the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan or its subordinate systems,” the report said.

The Consulate General warned that it will continue to insist on criminal prosecution and strictly enforce the principle of criminal responsibility against anyone hiding in foreign countries, including Turkey, to avoid criminal liability.
