Venezuela’s attorney general reported on Monday that outgoing Nicolás Maduro had won a disputed July 28 presidential election that sparked riots that left 25 people dead and 192 injured.
At the National Defense Council and the National Conference, prosecutor Tarek William Saab announced that “between July 29 and 30, in just 48 hours, 25 people were killed, including two members of the Bolivarian National Guard,” and he mentioned “192 injuries from firearms, bladed weapons, various blunt instruments and incendiary bombs.”.
