The Petroleum Association of Thailand is urging the energy and foreign affairs ministries to negotiate with Cambodia on joint oil production in the Overlapping Claim Area (OCA) as there has been no progress on the issue since the beginning of the year.
According to an unnamed Thai government source, no proposals for further talks were made after Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet visited Thailand in February.
Following the visit, Bangkok and Phnom Penh agreed to resume negotiations on the Olympic Council of Asia, which had been stalled since the issue was first raised in 2001.
