Hezbollah fired about 30 rockets from Lebanon into northern Israel late Sunday as tensions in the region continue to run high following the assassination of a top Hamas leader last month.
Israel reportedly launched a series of rockets following an airstrike in southern Lebanon, injuring 12 people.
The Iran-backed terror group claimed it launched the attack in support of the Palestinian people in war-torn Gaza and in retaliation for Israel’s assault on southern Lebanon. According to CNN.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of Defense said Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Sunday ordered a guided-missile submarine to the Middle East and directed the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group to speed up its arrival in the region.
The Pentagon said Austin spoke with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant early Sunday and made clear the U.S. commitment to “taking all possible measures to defend Israel and noted that the United States will strengthen its military force posture and capabilities throughout the Middle East in light of rising regional tensions.”
