According to Hoopshype, Micah Porter will remain tied to the Utah Jazz on a two-way contract. The power forward has been tied to Salt Lake City for two seasons on this kind of deal, so this will be his last year as a member of the team in this way.
Porter played 23 games in the NBA, averaging 3.3 points and 2.6 rebounds per game. He shined even more in the G League, as a member of the Salt Lake City Stars, he scored 15.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists with a 37.3% three-point shooting percentage.
This summer, he was part of the U.S. Select Team, playing alongside rising stars in preparation for the Olympic team. Part of this team is a mix of up-and-coming guys like Cooper Flagg, or youngsters who lack experience in the league like Brandon Miller or Brandin Podziemski, giving Porter a chance to join some of the best players of his generation, continue to add experience and try to establish himself in the league.

The Jazz have agreed to a two-way contract with Micah Porter, locking him in through the 2024-25 season. Porter has spent the past two seasons with Utah on a two-way contract, playing in both the NBA and G League, and now he’s looking to sign a third time next year.
The two-way contract gives the Jazz the flexibility to move Porter from the Development League to the main lineup for a period of time, while also giving the Jazz the opportunity to sign him to a traditional contract if he performs well.
In Porter’s 23 games with the Jazz, he averaged 3.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 0.4 points per game on 52.7/46.4/75.0 shooting splits. At 6-foot-10, he has a strong offensive game and is an efficient floor-spacing player in limited minutes.
During the offseason, Porter also participated in the U.S. Men’s Select Team, which trained with this year’s U.S. National Team members during a training camp prior to the Olympics.
