KUWAIT CITY, August 11 (Xinhua) — The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with the Coaching Circle Academy in Vancouver, Canada, which will provide training to the bank’s leaders to enhance their coaching skills, thereby developing the capabilities and skills of the bank’s employees.
The move is in line with the bank’s ongoing investment in human capital, which it considers its most valuable asset, by offering best-in-class training programmes and workshops to enhance the skills of its employees in leadership, strategy implementation, change management and innovation to keep pace with the rapid evolution of the banking industry.
Under the agreement, NBK leaders will participate in the Coaches Circle Academy training program, called Beyond Leader Coaching (TLC). The program’s goals include developing coaching competencies, improving communication and problem-solving skills, increasing employee engagement and performance, facilitating leadership development, building trust and collaboration, and driving organizational success.
The exclusive agreement with Coaches Circle Academy will enable the bank’s leaders to benefit from the TLC training program and become new leaders who are able to navigate a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world (VUCA world). The program also develops the skills of participants to enable them to train and develop bank employees, enabling them to play a greater role in business development and take on leadership positions in the bank in the future.
The programme aims to develop a range of key organisational health and leadership skills including transparent leadership skills, strategic thinking, decision making, enhancing communication and developing people, creating a positive environment and motivation, fostering accountability through role clarity, managing expectations and generation gaps.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Emad Al-Ablani, General Manager of Group Human Resources at NBK, said: “This programme is part of our wider strategy to expand the training culture within the bank. NBK firmly believes that its employees are its most valuable asset as the efficiency of the work team guarantees the quality of the various banking services provided by the bank. Therefore, NBK remains committed to developing its human capital, both leaders and employees, by partnering with the best local and international educational institutions to provide them with first-class training and development programmes.”
“This transformative four-month program is designed to empower leaders by expanding their knowledge, skills and mindset. The program uses a blended training model that combines face-to-face courses with on-demand micro-learning to provide maximum flexibility and accessibility. Participants will attend a seven-day face-to-face course and complete the Gallup Strengths Assessment, ensuring a comprehensive and effective learning experience,” he explained.
He noted: “This training program is a continuation of our efforts to develop the bank’s human capital, which will have a positive impact on the services provided to customers as NBK Bank considers its employees as the cornerstone of all its successes for over 70 years.”
NBK is one of the most attractive employers, providing equal opportunities, embracing diversity in the workplace, and focusing on training and upgrading employees’ skills to help them build successful careers and become future leaders of the bank. This makes NBK a preferred private sector employer for fresh graduates in Kuwait.
