South Korea’s Disease Control and Prevention Agency released information on the number of Covid-19 cases in the country.
In the first week of August, the number of people applying to hospitals due to Kovid-19 reached 861, reportedly increasing sixfold in the past four weeks.
The number of reported cases is the highest since it was registered in February.
Despite the increase in cases, it was revealed that more than 90% of cases were controlled with mild symptoms.
Officials have announced that the Covid-19 vaccination series for people aged over 65 will continue in October.
