The President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, shared his vision for a more sovereign and developed Africa with young people from the four corners of Africa. He said this meeting of young leaders from Burkina Faso around major issues showed that African youth can come together, unite and discuss the future of the continent.
“Our task is certainly difficult, but with your support, victory is certain. We need to talk to each other to raise awareness and increase consciousness,” the head of state told African youth representatives.
The President of Faso said that the first challenge for the liberation of the African continent is first and foremost an educational challenge. “Many of you are leaders in your countries, entrepreneurs; you must help transform the education system to take into account our reality,” said Captain Ibrahim Traoré.
He invited young leaders to ensure that African youth can “understand the meaning of our struggle for true African unity”. The Faso President noted during the discussion the need to return to the roots of Africans, who in the past knew how to foster tolerance, dialogue and solidarity. He invited the guests today to become ambassadors of the revolution that is underway in Burkina Faso and in the AES sector.
Delegation spokesperson Sharonice Bushi, Vice President of the Southern Africa Region of the Pan-African Youth Union, praised President Faso’s leadership and commitment to true independence for Africa.
