KUWAIT CITY, August 9: A lawyer for a car sales company complained to Hawalli Police Station against a Bedouin who purchased six cars with a cheque for 48,000 dinars. However, the cheque was found to be forged and signed by a prisoner serving a sentence in the Central Jail. According to the lawyer, the accused had a record of similar transactions, resulting in the cars being delivered based on the cheque.
After filing a complaint with the Hawally police station (case number 313/2024), the accused was arrested and confessed to purchasing six cars, three of which were sold. He also revealed that the cheques were signed by his partner, who was put in jail after the transaction.
