Aerosmith, one of the most legendary rock bands in history, has announced the cancellation of its US tour and its retirement from the stage. In an emotional statement via Instagram, he announced that the reason for the decision was the poor health of the band’s lead singer and leader Steven Tyler.

“He spent months working tirelessly to get his voice back to its pre-injury state. Despite having the best medical team around him, we watched him struggle,” Friday’s statement read. “Sadly, it became clear that a full recovery from his vocal cord damage would not be possible.”
In late September last year, the band revealed that Taylor, 76, had “broken his larynx,” causing the band to postpone the remainder of their “Peace Out” farewell tour, which was originally scheduled for May 2023.
