Alexander Zverev has reached an out-of-court settlement with his ex-girlfriend, who accused the German tennis star of strangling her during an argument in May 2020.
According to German reports, the settlement includes a monetary condition of 200,000 euros. Zverev’s lawyer issued a statement saying that the suspension of the trial does not constitute a finding of guilt or an admission of guilt.

Zverev described the allegations as “nonsense” in November, saying ahead of the French Open: “I believe in the German system. I do know what I did and what I didn’t do. In the end the result will be like this and I have to believe it.
“I really do believe that I will not lose this operation. There is no way.”
