Turkish authorities have decided to ban Roblox in the country, Engadget reported, citing Türkiye Today. The reason is child exploitation, as the platform is particularly popular among children.
An official from Turkey’s Communications Authority also cited “gay propaganda” and the gambling element of Roblox itself as reasons for the ban. The authorities also believe that the game contains a lot of adult content and is absolutely open to all users.
According to Turkish media, another reason for blocking Roblox in the country is that virtual parties are regularly held on Roblox that promote pedophilia. Similar issues have been raised before, but they did not reach Turkey.
