8-0. Puerto Rico defeated Anguilla to secure a place in Group F of the playoffs

San Juan – Puerto Rico beat Anguilla 8-0 in the 2026 World Cup CONCACAF qualifiers Group F on Tuesday night at the Juan Ramon Lubriel Stadium in Bayamon in the north of the Caribbean island.

In the 20th minute, player Jeremy DeLeon scored the first goal through a penalty kick.

After scoring the first goal after two failed shots, fans of Puerto Rican team Huracán Azul praised Jeremy for his performance in attack.

In front of a crowd of about 10,000, Puerto Rico continued to dominate the first half, with midfielder Roberto Ydrach scoring the second goal in the 32nd minute.

Anguilla missed a penalty kick from Jordan Deans.

The second half was lively, with winger Wilfredo Rivera scoring the third goal in the 48th minute.

The Blue Hurricane continued to lead the game and showed their dominance once again in the 51st minute when Jeremy scored the fourth goal with a great dribble.

Striker Leandro Antonetti was the player who sent the ball into the corner for the fifth time.

Seven minutes later, the sixth goal surprised the crowd, as Wilfredo Rivera scored his second goal of the game in the 65th minute.

At the end of the game, Puerto Rico launched another decisive attack, with Darren Rios and Nico Cardona scoring the last two goals.

Puerto Rico will qualify for the final round if it finishes first or second in Group F, which consists of Anguilla, Suriname, El Salvador and St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
