Israeli bombings included an early morning strike on a house in the central Gaza town of Deir el-Balah on Sunday that killed a woman and her six children, according to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital.

The children’s grandfather, Muhammad Awad Khattab, said his daughter, a teacher, was with her husband and six children when their house was bombed.

The hospital said the youngest child was only 18 months old and the others were quintuplets aged 10.

Another attack east of Deir el-Balah killed at least four people, and an attack in the northern town of Jabaliya hit two apartments, killing two men, a woman and her daughter, according to Gaza’s health ministry.

Two attacks in central Gaza also killed nine people, according to Al Awda hospital.

The war has killed more than 40,000 Palestinians, according to local health authorities, displaced the vast majority of the region’s 2.3 million people and prompted experts to warn of famine and the spread of diseases such as polio.
