Ukrainian troops are close to encircling Russian forces around the Seym River in the Kursk region.
Bild writes that up to 3,000 Russian soldiers could be captured. The newspaper reminds us that since August 16, Ukrainian troops in the northern part of the Glushkovsky region began to blow up bridges over the Seim River. This move could isolate the Russian armed forces, as Ukrainian territory surrounds the region from the west and south.
“In response, Russia organized pontoon and air bridges and secured the remaining approaches to the east. Yesterday, the Ukrainian armed forces captured the villages of Snagov and Apanasovka. They are 5 kilometers from the Seym River and the blockade,” the newspaper wrote.
