29% of voters vote in Estonia in European elections

As of 1 p.m., 296,333 people, or 30.2% of the electorate, had gone to vote in the European Parliament elections. The highest participation rate so far was in Tartu City (41.5%), while the lowest was in Purva County (26.7%). In Ida-Virumaa, the voting participation rate was 27.2.

All 377 polling stations across Estonia will open at 8pm today. In the European Parliament elections, voters can vote at any polling station across Estonia.

You can get more information about polling stations at www.valimized.ee You must bring a valid ID. Electronic voting is no longer possible, but voters can still change to electronic voting by voting with a paper ballot at the polling station on election day.

Voters who have difficulty going to the polling station due to health or other legitimate reasons can request to vote at home. To do this, an application must be submitted to the local government. This can still be done today through the telephone number designated by the local government until 2 pm.
