Police arrested a 25-year-old man today for investigation into speeding.
Specifically, at around 1am this morning, members of the Road Accident Prevention Team of the Police Headquarters stopped and checked the vehicle driven by the 25-year-old Nicosia resident on the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway, despite the Kosi exit.
The 25-year-old man, who was driving his car at 197 kilometres per hour instead of 100, was arrested, later charged in writing and released and is expected to appear in court.
Inspection continues at Aradip police station.
