At the Buzău County Emergency Hospital (SJU), 23 patients confirmed to be infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus are placed in isolation rooms, the youngest of whom is only 1 month old and the oldest is 92 years old. According to the SJU, access to hospital wards is restricted and is only allowed between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, and visitors are required to wear masks and gowns during 15-minute intervals. “At SJU Buzău, restrictions on members’ visit plans remain in place. Currently, 23 people who have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus are being hospitalized at SJU Buzău. SJU Buzău said that this measure was taken after a speech by DSP Buzău and is aimed at reducing the risk of infection of the population with the SARS-CoV-2 virus. The patients are being treated in isolation rooms and are under the supervision of medical staff.

“Adults were admitted to isolation wards in different departments of the hospital, namely infectious diseases, internal medicine, orthopedics and surgery, while children were isolated in the pediatric department. The youngest patient was a one-month-old baby, while among adults, the oldest was 92 years old,” SJU spokesperson Adriana Bunilă told AGERPRES.
