The 2024 trade expo, themed “Buy Made in Tonga”, will be held at the Queen Salote Memorial Hall from August 28 to 30. Organised by the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development (MTED), the event will showcase the best of Tonga’s craftsmanship and entrepreneurship.

This year’s trade show will be held in conjunction with the Pacific Islands Leaders Forum meeting, also taking place in Tonga from 26 to 30 August, providing a unique opportunity for local businesses to engage with regional leaders and international visitors.

The trade show will feature a variety of exhibits highlighting products that Tonga is proud of. Visitors can explore traditional crafts, innovative goods and learn the stories behind the creators of these extraordinary products. Every item purchased at the show will contribute directly to the local economy, highlighting the importance of supporting local businesses.

MTED encourages everyone to attend, emphasizing that the event is not only a marketplace, but also a networking hub. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry experts, network with other entrepreneurs, and discover new business growth opportunities.

“Join our movement and make a difference by supporting our local businesses,” MTED said in a statement, inviting friends and family in the community to come together to celebrate and support Tonga’s homegrown talent.
