Here’s everything you need to know about today’s event Paris Olympic Games Starting on Friday, August 2nd and running until Saturday morning.
New Zealand’s medal chances on day seven
At 10:22pm, Jackie Kiddle and Shannon Cox will compete in the women’s lightweight double sculls final. They set the fifth best time in their semi-final and will start from lane 5. British duo Emily Craig and Imogen Grant set the world best time last year and will be the favourites to win.
After the postponement of today’s race, Isaac McHardy and William McKenzie will compete for medals in the 49er medal race around 11:13 PM if the wind is good. They are in third place, just 8 points behind the gold medalist. Windsurfers Josh Amit and Verle Tenhaf have each advanced to the quarterfinals, where they will compete for medals in the elimination rounds.
Tokyo Olympic medalist Dylan Schmidt qualified for the trampoline event and could compete in the final at 5:45 a.m. Madeline Davidson could advance to the women’s final if she qualifies.
BMX racer Rico Bearman has been going strong in his four races this morning, with a strong performance in the final qualifier to advance to the semi-finals. He will be looking to continue this form and go for the medals in his 7:35 race.

Golf: Ryan Fox targets Le Golf National leaderboard
Ryan Fox started Day 1 at four under, four shots behind leader Hideki Matsuyama. Daniel Hillier started at four over and is now at the other end of the leaderboard.
Judo: Sidney Andrews makes Olympic debut
Commonwealth Games bronze medallist Andrews will face Larisa Ceric of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the first round of the over-78kg category. If she wins her first match, she could be in contention later in the day.
Swimming: New Zealand team’s last-ditch effort
Erika Fairweather and Eve Thomas competed in the women’s 800m freestyle preliminaries, while Cameron Gray competed in the men’s 100m butterfly preliminaries.
Canoe Slalom – First time canoe slalom
New Zealanders Finn Butcher and Luuka Jones competed in the KX event, the first time the event has been held at the Olympics. The event is a bit like snowboard cross or BMX, with four paddlers racing against each other on the water, starting with a jump into the water.
Track and Field – Track and Field Opening Day
Sam Tanner (Men’s 1500m Heats) and Zoe Hobbs (Women’s 100m Heats) will be first on the track, followed by the Men’s Shot Put Qualifying tomorrow morning, featuring Jack Gill and Tom Walsh.
Hockey – The Black Sticks’ last game
The men’s hockey team played for honor in their final group match against Ireland. Neither team won.
