KUWAIT CITY, August 19: The Ministry of Interior conducted a series of security and traffic activities in various governorates over the past week, arresting 190 persons wanted for various crimes and seizing vehicles wanted by the judiciary. In addition, 15,866 traffic violations were recorded between August 11 and 17.
According to the Ministry of Interior’s Traffic and Operational Affairs Department, nine people with criminal records, 80 people without official identification and 80 people whose residence permits had expired were successfully arrested. They also arrested 12 people suspected of possessing drugs, two people in possession of alcohol and seven people in an abnormal state.
A total of 61 vehicles wanted by the judiciary were seized during the operation. All arrested persons, confiscated items and vehicles have been handed over to the relevant authorities.
The statement also noted that 14 disputes were resolved, 514 people were assisted, and six vehicles were seized. During the period, a total of 1,609 security operations were carried out.
