A fire broke out early this afternoon in Figueira, Penafiel municipality, Porto district, and 150 workers and eight aircraft are currently fighting the blaze, a Civil Protection source told Lusa.
According to sources at the Tâmega e Sousa sub-district command, the fire alarm was sounded at 3:36 p.m.
“The area affected is a bush area and we have indications that someone was being assisted at the scene,” he said.
