At 00:12 on August 25, the National Crisis Management Center received an alert that an accident occurred in the tunnel from Khanjyan Street to Heratsi Street in Yerevan. The rescue department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the situation.
A combat unit of the Fire Rescue Team of the Yerevan City Rescue Bureau of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs and a rescue team from the Special Purpose Rescue Operations Center of the Ministry of Rescue Forces went to the scene.
After investigation, it was found that “ZIL” (driver: AH, born in 1996) collided with “Opel” car. “ZIL” car had a gas leak.
Rescuers closed the valves of the gas cylinders of the “ZIL” car and rescued the driver of the “Opel” car from the car. The latter was transferred to the medical center.
Paramedics registered the death of the occupants of the Opel car.
