Yolinde Wilson sentenced to 40 years in prison for triple murder

The charred bodies were found on July 18, 2021. It was revenge in the drug world. Sitar was shot to death in a house on Edmund Street. Trullian and Stocker were burned alive in North Boulderdam. The car was set on fire twice.

Using camera images, DNA material of the suspects, phone locations, surprising discoveries during the investigation, eyewitness testimonies and confessions of the suspects themselves, a picture of the dramatic events that took place has been formed and the criminal offence is considered proven. The police have also issued arrest warrants for Martin Wilson and Raoul Sippenhof. They are still at large. During the investigation, ammunition, weapons, weapon parts, 70,000 euros, 22,000 dollars, a raincoat with police inscriptions and an iPhone were dug up from the yard of the victim Sital. The prosecution requested a sentence of 45 years in prison for the female suspect and 20 years each for the male suspect. Judge Maureen Dayala imposed different sentences: 40 years for the female suspect and 9 years each for the male suspect.

After the case, press judge Ingrid Lachitjaran explained the findings: A large quantity of drugs was allegedly stolen from Martin Wilson. At the request of her brother, Yolinda Wilson appointed Roëtas. He and two other men were chased for some time and at one point got into trouble. They were forcibly taken to a house on Edmund Street in Paramaribo, which was rented by Martin Wilson. They were held at this address against their will, their hands and feet were tied and gagged with tape. Black garbage bags were put over their heads and secured around their necks with tape. After this, Roël G. and Eldon S. left the house.

Rohitas Sittar was shot twice, and he died on the spot. The victim was then dragged across the floor of the house and placed in a Ford Ranger belonging to the deceased Sittar. The car, driven by the suspect Raoul Sijpenhof, who is currently at large, then drove to Noordpolderdam in Wanica. Yorinde Wilson and her brother drove to the same location in a black Toyota Harrier. Once there, the Ford Ranger was doused with fuel and set on fire. The bodies of Sean and Cedric, as well as Rohitas, were burned alive. After the crime, the three drove away, but returned some time later to make sure the vehicle was still on fire. They then set the car on fire again.

Press Judge Lachitjaran further explained the verdict to reporters. The bottom line is that the judge found Yorinde Wilson guilty of “joint and joint unlawful deprivation of liberty, joint and joint gross negligence manslaughter, intentional, premeditated murder”. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the Paramaribo offence and 20 years for the Wanica offence. Roël G. and Eldon S. were sentenced to nine years in prison each. Judge Dayala found that “joint and joint intentional and unlawful deprivation of liberty” was proven. Monday’s verdict temporarily brings an end to the high-profile case. Those convicted can still appeal.
