Another Army commander declared a national hero
Retired Brigadier General Erasto Mazingira, who died on the 7th of this month, has been declared a national hero. He will be buried at the National Shrine on a date yet to be announced.
The statement comes amid ongoing controversy over the deaths of senior Zimbabwean military personnel and internal strife within the Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front.
