SIWI is looking for dedicated young professionals to support the World Water Week Scientific Programme Committee.
Joining the Young Science Programme Committee (YSPC) is an opportunity for young professionals to expand their network and gain valuable experience. As a member of the YSPC, you will be a key member of the workshop team and coordinate the SIWI workshop series for World Water Week 2024.
how to apply
Young professionals from all sectors are encouraged to apply to participate in one of the nine workshops or to work with the Chair. Please note that YSPC applicants must agree to provide a minimum of 20 days of input between 15 January and 30 September 2024 (excluding the mandatory two-day SPC/Co-Convenor Digital Workshop in March/April and World Water Week in August). All applicants must be able to allocate this time to the Committee.

- A letter of motivation (maximum 1 page) indicating your interest in the seminar,
- Recommendation Letter

Applications will be submitted between October 2 and November 16, 2023. Applications must be submitted by the deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Once all applications have been reviewed, SIWI and SPC will appoint YSPC members in January.
When appointing the members of the YSPC, SIWI stressed that they should reflect as much diversity and balance as possible across the World Water Week: Geography: Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, Asia.
