A new pizza place has opened in Shore. Woodshed Pizzeria Napoletana is a quaint, dine-in-only pizzeria that serves 12-inch wood-fired pizzas made in a massive wood-fired oven imported from Naples, Italy. Woodshed also serves appetizers like meatballs and chicken wings, as well as a variety of salads. This location, an offshoot of Woodshed Mobile Pizza Company, allows BYOB; however, wine is also available for sale.

Just minutes from the Hudson River and the George Washington Bridge, this fine Italian steakhouse serves classic Italian dishes in an unpretentious, elegant, tree-lined setting. LaNoma’s menu includes appetizers, pizza, and pasta dishes; fish, chicken, and steak entrees; desserts, signature cocktails, and Italian wines. The restaurant is open for dinner daily; Friday and Saturday nights are open until 2 a.m.
2010 Hudson Street
This bakery has been selling gluten-free desserts since 2013. Its first brick-and-mortar location opened in Egg Harbor City in 2015. Chef and owner Jenna Kisby, who doesn’t eat gluten herself, wanted to make gluten-free options more accessible to South Jersey residents. She recently opened a second location in Ocean City, just a few blocks from the beach, serving the same fan-favorite baked goods as the flagship: cinnamon rolls, giant cookies, pop tarts, cookies, and more.

The fast-casual breakfast chain’s only Jersey location will close after its last day on Saturday, August 31. Effin Egg, which sells handmade breakfast burritos and sandwiches, opened in Morristown in March 2023.
