Woman beaten by ex-boyfriend when picking up child

The 29-year-old suspect MV was arrested by Livorno police for attacking his ex-girlfriend.

The victim, SV (38 years old), reported the suspect to the police station and informed law enforcement officers that she was in a romantic relationship with the suspect and had a child.

She also said she occasionally takes her children to see their father when she has to go to work.

When she picked up her daughter from her ex-boyfriend after get off work on Monday, August 19, she politely asked him to prepare the child and take her out because she was not feeling well.

The father said he would not do that and that her health was not his problem. So the woman decided to take her daughter with her.

Her ex-boyfriend then yelled at her. At one point, MV walked up to the woman and punched her in the face several times. The suspect’s sister saw this and intervened, preventing a more serious situation from happening.

The suspect also yelled at the victim that he was not done with her yet. The woman again reported the suspect because he had beaten her ex-girlfriend several times during their relationship.

On August 21, the suspect was captured and arrested by the police and later taken to the police station for interrogation.

After coordination with the procuratorate, the suspect has been taken into criminal custody by the police, awaiting investigation.
