Constable Landing Jallow further disclosed that a lady’s bag was also recovered and was identified as belonging to the victim, Fatoumatta Kargbo.

When asked by the State Counsel A Gibba how he as a witness concluded that the bags belonged to the accused and the victim, he replied that when he visited the accused at the Endeban clinic, who was later discharged and taken to the police station, he confirmed to them that the bag containing the two spanners was his.

He further stated that the other bag was brown in colour and contained female belongings which was confirmed by the office owner to be the bag of the deceased.

Police officers who witnessed the incident said they found the luggage and took it to the police station.

The bags were brought to court and State Counsel A. Gibba applied to tender them as evidence.

The defense team had no objection to the handing over of these items, and the prosecution applied to return the evidence (the deceased’s bag) to the family and to take photos of the items in the bag.
