Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena’s People’s United Front is reportedly hesitant about the stand to take in the upcoming presidential election.
Mr. Dinesh Gunawardena was also elected as a Member of Parliament from the Sri Lanka Bodujana Peramuna Party as a partner party representing the Sri Lanka Free Bodujana Alliance.
However, the Prime Minister also attended a meeting of the ruling party parliamentary group in Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna in support of the President.
Meanwhile, the Central Committee of the People’s United Front Work Department is scheduled to hold a meeting this afternoon.
There, specific decisions will be made regarding the upcoming presidential elections.
