The Cabinet has decided to allow tourists from 35 countries visa-free entry to Sri Lanka from October 1, 2024, said Harin Fernando, advisor to the Ministry of Tourism.

The policy will take effect from October 1, 2024 for a period of six months.

These countries include the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Germany, Australia, Saudi Arabia, China, India, Russia, South Korea and Japan.

The list of countries is as follows: United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, Australia, Denmark, Poland, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Nepal, China, India, Indonesia, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, Japan, France, United States, Canada, Czech Republic, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Israel, Belarus, Iran, Sweden, South Korea, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, New Zealand
