Why people are increasingly worried about a large-scale war in the Middle East

Already tense relations in the Middle East intensified last week. Israel killed three of its main adversaries, including Ismail Haniyeh, the Iranian leader of Hamas. Now Iran is preparing a counterattack against Israel that could happen at any time. Editor Dirk Walters wonders what consequences these developments will have for the Middle East.
