“I run all distances, 3, 5, 10 (km), half marathons and marathons. This year I will do my 10th marathon in this one, which is the test for the Paris Olympics. This is made for amateurs, and this is a special edition that has been made for the first time in history,” he said.

Meanwhile, Gustavo Ospina said: “I don’t exercise regularly. Then the pandemic hit, and with the little free time I had, I started running to keep fit, because it was the easiest thing I could do where I lived. I started with short-term goals of 5, 7, 10 (km), and I exceeded them one by one until I was able to complete a marathon.”
“The IOC had to create a very big filter because so many people wanted to run it and there were only 20,000 places in the world. So he applied and every month there were different challenges that had to be met. I fought, I was very disciplined and achieved all these goals month after month over a period of two years, thanks to the official notice I received,” he said.
