Libreville, Wednesday, July 10, 2024 (Gabon News) – Faced with recurrent power outages that disrupt economic activity in the Nkok Special Investment Zone, the transitional government wants to resolve this problem once and for all in order to allow economic operators in this place to work in silence and pure tranquility.
Mr Raymond Ndong Sima therefore chaired an important meeting on Monday with the participation of the Minister of Energy and Water Resources, Jeannot Kalima, the Minister of Mines, Giles Nembé, the Minister of Economy, Mays Mouissi and the General Manager of the Nkok Special Investment Zone, Serge Samy Biveghé.
Raymond Ndong Sima revealed the urgency of engaging in dialogue with all stakeholders and social partners to achieve the desired results. “It is important that all government departments are mobilized to allow the Nkok Special Investment Zone to continue to operate efficiently and productively, which represents a huge added value,” he said.
Coming out of there, Serge Samy Biveghé expressed himself in his capacity as General Manager of ZISK: “Today we have a solution. The turbine that was causing us problems is back in operation. We also took the opportunity of this meeting, with the participation of the Minister of Mines, to discuss the problems that the various investors in the Nkok Special Investment Zone and those in the mining sector encounter on a daily basis. In the coming days we will organize specific meetings with the various investors in order to offer them palliative and adaptive solutions.”
