Labasa failed to qualify for the group stage on Sunday, ending its quest for a third consecutive Battle of the Giants title and bringing to an end a two-year run as champions.
Coach Ravneel Pratap reviewed his team’s performance with mixed emotions.
“We did everything right, that’s football, we took risks but missed the rewards. We missed too many chances.”
Pratap said: “We are very disappointed to miss out on the title again after two years, but congratulations to the team that made it to the semi-finals.”

Pratap also had a message for the Labasa fans, urging them not to get discouraged by the result.
“Don’t be disappointed, it’s all about the game, we had bad luck… You can see that we were in good shape physically, everything we did was good, it’s just the individual decision-making that we lacked,” he explained.
