Addis Ababa, July 8, 2024 (Address) Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed noted that the government plans to cultivate more than 24 million hectares of land this year using cluster farming.
“Cluster farming is expanding and we are working on a massive scale to achieve the agricultural targets for this rainy season,” he said.
Prime Minister Abiy stressed the need to intensify these efforts. “We plan to cultivate more than 24 million hectares of land this year and are racing against the rain to achieve this goal,” he added on his official social media account.
The Prime Minister stressed that modern agricultural methods must be adopted to achieve success.
He added: “These joint efforts will enable us to achieve food self-sufficiency.”
