He expressed pride in the service he has rendered in combating the efforts and activities of hundreds of channels at home and abroad that target us, and stressed the important role and great efforts of media professionals during these years to preserve the honor and resolve of the country in the war against terror in Syria.
Minister Hallaq said at a dialogue with media professionals in Tartus province that the media is one of the sectors most in need of development and that laws concerning the media should be updated.
“The media law focuses on protecting the public and media personnel and making a distinction between media professionals and others,” said Hallaq, noting that the Ministry of Information has a plan to develop the media sector and the possibility of partnership with various state departments through new projects that have been ongoing over the past year.
Minister Hallaq, responding to the remarks of the participants, stressed that a journalist is considered to be anyone who provides part of the media business, whether it is an engineer, photographer, preparer, editor or anyone else.
General Director of the General Administration of Radio and Television, Habib Selman, also confirmed that those working on the bonus system are the most active section and that many branches of the agency are based on the bonus system.
Asad Issa, general manager of Al Vahde Agency, pointed out that the solution to the problem of leasing the center is related to the governor, not the central government, and the foundation aims to become profitable next year.
