This year’s event will Saturday, July 27 to Saturday, August 3Located in Harmony Township, New Jersey, it’s just a short drive from Philipsburg and easily accessible from Route 78.
The hot air balloon festival is a highlight, with liftoffs starting at 6:30 p.m. and tethered flights costing $20-30 per person. Special balloon shapes, including the Fred G. Monster and the Flying Pig, will appear on select nights. Full flights can be reserved in advance by calling 908-283-0721 or emailing fly@balloonfestnj.com.
In addition to the balloon celebration, the fair offers a variety of events such as the Crash Dash, Truck and Tractor Rally and the new Black Cat Hellrider Stunt Car Show. Attendees can also enjoy the traditional fair experience, including the Agricultural Olympics, car, truck and tractor shows, and home and garden building competitions featuring crafts, baking and more.
For kids, the Children’s Fair offers crafts, contests and entertainment, including a foam party on Saturday. The fair also features local music, a beer garden and special days, such as Veterans Day on July 28, when veterans and active military receive free admission, and Senior Day on July 29, when seniors receive free admission with a health insurance card.
The fair will also feature horse shows, 4-H and FFA exhibits, antique tractor shows, carnival rides and a variety of food, including funnel cakes, roasted corn, fresh lemonade and homemade pies.
