“He’s from the Midwest and appeals to middle-aged men. He’s a hunter and he’s funny in interviews. He’s kind of smart,” Freehon said of Walz.
However, he is unsure whether Kamala’s choice will make a difference in her campaign against Donald Trump, as the vice president usually does not have much influence.
“This choice still reflects the president’s judgment and where he’s going. She’s clearly thinking about the fact that the Democratic Party needs Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin. Walz can appeal to voters in those states.”
Recently, Democrats have started calling Donald Trump and members of the Republican Party “weird.” Waltz is said to be the founder of it.
Do you think this is a good strategy?
“Yeah, at least it works for him. He’s become a vice presidential candidate. He’s getting attention for it. It’s interesting. I mean, they’re weird, at least I think their views are weird,” Friðjón said.
“It’s not a direct attack. The way to show that people don’t like something about their opponents is usually to make fun of them, not to attack directly.”
Frijon said it was difficult to predict the outcome of the West Sea election at this point. Polls were tricky.
“But Kamala Harris and the Democrats are on the offense, and Trump is on the defense.”
He himself said he does not want to see Donald Trump become president of the United States again.
