Vodafone Qatar hosts ‘Communications Skills Development’ programme

Vodafone Qatar has successfully held its first training session on its ‘Communication Skills Development’ programme within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the company and Qatar Charity, which focused on developing customer service skills and demonstrating the skills required for service and sales associations.
Activities in the first training course included interactive discussions, case studies and a variety of practical activities designed specifically to meet the needs of Qatar Charity staff.
The course was taught by Mr. Mahmoud Reda, Talent Development Director of Vodafone Qatar, who stressed the importance of effective communication and provided professional advice on how to deal with customers. He also showed participants different customer behavior patterns, how to establish emotional connections with different customers, and problem-solving skills, etc.
Commenting on the event, Mr. Ali Ateeq Al-Abdullah, Head of Media Relations and Social Responsibility at Vodafone Qatar, said: “In line with the social responsibility initiatives of Vodafone Qatar, I am pleased to work closely with the employees of the Qatar Charity Foundation in order to prepare them for innovative working and communication methods and apply them in fulfilling their mission. Through this course, participants were able to understand the general framework of customer relationship management and gain an understanding of the best corporate practices that can be applied in the future.”
Mr. Ali Al Gharib, Director of Resource Development, expressed his gratitude to Vodafone Qatar for providing these courses, which are provided in implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two institutions. He stressed that Qatar Charity is keen to provide its staff with experience and skills that are usually found in private sector institutions.
