A tour group of 19 representatives called themselves “DX Tour 5 Vietnam” recently visited Vietnamese radio station VOV5.
The delegation, which consisted of 19 members from Pontianak, Wonosobo, Sunakada and other places, visited the Voice of Vietnam headquarters, offices and studios, and met with various broadcasters. Tran Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Voice of Vietnam and Chairman of the Vietnam-Indonesia Friendship Association, warmly received the delegation and expressed his gratitude to the delegation.
“Voice of Vietnam is proud to have broadcast in Indonesian for nearly 60 years and has been warmly welcomed by Indonesian listeners. Every year, the Indonesian service of Voice of Vietnam receives about 1,000 letters from listeners. This allows our journalists and editors to invest, innovate, further improve the quality of the program and better serve the listeners,” said Hong.
Thedja Haryanto, who has been listening to VOV for 52 years, talked about his special love for VOV: “I have been listening to VOV for more than 50 years. I have witnessed the rapid changes and development of Indonesian radio programs, especially the continuous improvement in content. The programs are becoming more and more attractive and interactive. This time on VOV5, I met all the announcers of Indonesian radio programs. This is a rare opportunity in my life. This is really a happiness I can’t imagine.”
