Every Friday since its creation in June, the Païta Solidarity with Multiple Colors group has organized large-scale food donations to benefit the families most affected by the crisis. The support of the town’s residents is welcomed.
This Friday morning, volunteers from the collective “Solidarity with Multiple Colors Païta” will carry out their first mission. They will distribute food and basic necessities to 38 families in need. The beneficiaries of the baskets are identified online through the collective’s Facebook group.
Laëtitia Cronsteadt is the founder of the collective. Every week, she records requests for help and sorts them by priority.”I check the milk stocks of the children to see if they need diapers, and I identify the disabled.“, she explained. Volunteers will soon be making the first batch of baskets from the donations collected.
Two months after the collective launched its first solidarity actions following the abuse, these actions have now been implemented and the bonds between volunteers are stronger than ever. “It gives us a breath of fresh air and allows us to support each other” commented Djemilah Azerarun, a member of the group.

Finally, volunteers also deliver baskets to households. Faced with the scale of needs observed on the ground, the collective intends to continue its action and create a joint structure.
