Praises Ajman Excellence Initiative team for its efforts in improving government performance
Government service workers called on to ensure customer happiness
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Executive Council, awarded outstanding employees of the Emirate’s Government Service Centres with the ‘Service Star Badge’ initiative announced yesterday to recognize those employees who provide service excellence as monitored by the ‘Secret Shopper’ project.
His Highness also presented certificates of honor to graduates of the “Excellence in Government Systems Evaluator” diploma, offered by the Ajman Excellence Initiative in partnership with Hamdan bin Mohammed Smart University.
This took place during a reception for the honoured employees, in the presence of Dr. Saeed Saif Al Matrooshi, Secretary General of the Executive Committee and Supreme Director of the Ajman Excellence Programme, and Dr. Hajar Saeed Al Hubaishi, General Coordinator of the Excellence Programme, at the Emir Diwan in Ajman.
His Highness congratulated the distinguished personalities and praised the efforts of qualified national cadres who have contributed to the development of government work in the emirate.
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi stressed the importance of initiatives that contribute to improving national capabilities and driving excellence in government work, praising the efforts of the Ajman Excellence Initiative team in developing government performance and enhancing the expertise of national cadres in the areas of leadership and excellence.
His Highness stated that the Emirate of Ajman, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, aspires to become a role model of government leadership and excellence, and the government is working towards achieving this ambitious vision by qualifying national cadres and providing them with the necessary knowledge and skills to promote a culture of excellence.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince of Ajman called on service personnel in government agencies to always ensure the happiness of all types of customers and to continuously conduct secret shopper visits to monitor and pay tribute to outstanding employees and those with special behaviors.
His Highness Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi awarded the Service Star Badge to Salem Al Zabi of the Ministry of Land and Real Estate Regulation, Sergeant Salim Ali Obeid Al Khader and Assistant Ibrahim Ahmed Al Hosani of the General Command of Ajman Police for providing excellent and exceptional service to meet the needs of customers and solving their problems quickly and effectively, which is monitored based on a careful evaluation (including multiple criteria) conducted through secret shopper visits.
Hanan Al Buraiki, Director of the Secret Shopper Program, explained the program, stressing that the Ajman government is working to improve customer experience through a number of initiatives and studies, including an ongoing secret shopper program held within the public to study the customer journey and experience across various service channels.
She explained that the project includes service centres, call centres, websites and smart applications, and monitors for unusual observations of outstanding employees.
Amal Al-Shaali, director of the “Diploma in Excellence Systems Residents” program, said that the program aims to train and identify national experts in the field of government excellence so that the experts can conduct evaluations of the areas of government excellence for their employers and submit evaluation reports to develop institutional performance, achieve institutional excellence, and advance to an advanced level on the path to continuous leadership.
She added that the Ajman Excellence Programme is keen to coordinate with award programmes in other emirates so that graduates can participate in the assessment process to acquire applied skills, which will help develop their practical ability to apply the concepts of excellence.
She said the participants were provided with the necessary knowledge and information to enable them to enhance the culture of excellence as a thought and practice, strengthen the concept of institutional excellence and its underlying principles, and introduce excellence-related initiatives and strategies, besides introducing them to various aspects of government competitiveness and models of excellence institutions and comparing them.
The diploma targets national competencies for employees in different organizational and functional categories, including managers, department and team heads, and workers in less developed sectors.
Amal Al Shaali said: “Graduates of the Resident Diploma in Government Systems of Excellence contribute to the realization of Ajman’s vision and propel the emirate to new levels of development and creativity in all areas of government work.”
