Venezuela’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Samuel Moncada, announced at a forum the plan drawn up between the far right, the US government and its allies to interfere in Venezuela’s electoral system and overshadow the results of the July 28 elections.
“From 2002 to today, the United States has never stopped its goal of destroying Venezuela’s republican institutions and launching a coup d’état,” Moncada said.
The ambassador stressed that one of the strategies used to obscure the results of the elections was based on a project of the company “Altavista PVT”. This tool focused on publishing parallel ballot sheets that differed from those proposed by opposition leader María Corina Machado and candidate Edmundo González.
However, he mentioned that the organization considered the representatives of the extremist opposition as winners based on the minutes published only from 997 polling stations, without counting the additional 503 polling stations they had planned.
“Because of the serious lack of 503 polling stations, they started saying Maduro lost, reducing the sample size by a third,” he said.
He also said that the format of the minutes was not the same and that the QR code of the minutes came from an American business, meaning that the “sample was damaged” and that the photos of the alleged minutes were posted on María Corina Machado’s website with the sole purpose of being used to create discontent that could lead to violent riots, as ultimately happened.
Moncada stressed that some companies are carrying out conspiracy plans with US allies through the US Department of State (DoS), Department of Defense, Department of Justice and intelligence agencies as part of a strategy for a “permanent coup against Venezuela.”
