Passport Machine
at the same time, Vanuatu Daily Post Reported Internal Affairs Minister Johnny Koanapo says the arrival of the new passport machine is a “fitting gift” for the people of Vanuatu as the country celebrates its independence.
Koanapo reportedly said the machines, which arrived on Saturday and are expected to print more than 1,000 passports per week, would be installed soon.
Engineers responsible for the installation will arrive in Vanuatu on Wednesday, with the goal of having at least one machine operational by Friday, the newspaper reported.
According to Koanapo, there are currently 7,000 passports awaiting approval.
