Vice Presidential Candidate Senator J.D. Vance He revealed in a recent interview that the regret of referring to some leaders as “cat ladies without children” is that “a lot of people misunderstand it”.
Since entering the 2024 presidential race, Vance has Comments that resurfaced in 2021, “We are a country that is literally run by the Democratic Party, corporate oligarchs and a bunch of childless cat-loving ladies,” he said.
However, the senator said the statement was taken out of context.
“I want to be the vice president of the entire country, I want to represent all people. Yes, I made sarcastic remarks a few years ago that I think were intentionally misinterpreted by a lot of Democrats,” Vance said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday.

Vance was then asked again if he regretted the comments.
“I do regret that a lot of people misinterpreted this,” the vice presidential candidate told the outlet. “I do regret that the DNC and Kamala Harris lied about this.”
“I sometimes say things that people don’t agree with. I’m a real person, I make jokes, I say things sarcastically. I think it’s important that we focus on policy,” Vance added. “I have a lot of regrets, Kristen, but making a joke three years ago was not at the top 10 of the list.”

The Ohio senator added that he believes the United States is becoming more “anti-family” and wants to give women more options for starting families.
“I want to change that,” he said. “I think if you talk to young women, whether they want to have children or not, you continue to hear that a lot of young women feel like they don’t have a choice.”

“While some people would argue that we are no different than our neighbors, we are no different than our neighbors. When a house is on fire, we don’t ask the homeowner’s race or religion, we don’t wonder who their partner is or how they voted. No, we just do our best to save them,” Winfrey told attendees at the Democratic National Convention. “And if the owner of the house happens to be a cat-loving lady with no kids, then we try to get that cat out, too.”
