Kamala Harris considered to replace Biden in the race

An Associated Press poll Monday evening showed Harris had more than the 1,976 delegates needed to win the primary.

This means that Mrs. Harris is about to return to the Democratic Party and will compete against Republican Donald Trump in the presidential election scheduled for November.

The news comes as party delegates make their choices ahead of next month’s Democratic National Convention (DCN) in Chicago.

Party representatives are people who are elected to represent the constituency they voted in. Their wishes are not valid until the actual election, but they often have a chance.

Since Joe Biden left office on Sunday, no one has said they plan to run against Ms Harris.

The 81-year-old veteran has been under pressure for days from senior members of his party over his failure to get ahead of Trump in a debate and reveal his people and their intentions.

If nothing changes between now and when the party’s delegates vote on August 1-7, Kamala Harris will represent the party in the November 2024 election.

Since Biden announced that he could not continue to run against Trump, millions of dollars have continued to pour into the fund to support his campaign, and top Democrats have also pledged support for his campaign as the nominee of the Democratic party.
