Syrian war sources report that U.S. forces continue to reinforce their bases in Syria’s Al Jazeera region in the northeast of the country with helicopters and military equipment to “provide additional protection for Israel.”
“The US military has reinforced the base with 15 Apache helicopters to increase its attack capabilities,” the source added to Sputnik.
He went on to say, “An American plane landed at the Kharab al-Jir base in the Hasakah countryside with military equipment, anti-aircraft batteries, logistical and military supplies and about 25 soldiers on board.”
The U.S. Department of Defense announced yesterday, Friday, that Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin will oversee the deployment of additional troops in the Middle East to protect Israel.
Sabrina Singh, a deputy Pentagon spokeswoman, said the additional forces in the Middle East would include an increase in personnel.
